Alternate jacking point

Hello Forum,

I've seen all the postings regarding jacking points. There is one I did not see. I was wondering
if the two flat exposed rectangular areas that are on the underside crossmember (inline with the door locks) can also be used to position some jackstands?

Thats where I usually jack the car up from. Learned that one from Rich & Dennis. Though I have never used jackstands there.
 
I've always started jacking at those points, then transfer to the "published" points with either a jack or jackstand. I also have never put a jackstand there, as it would interfere with the work being performed.

I too use the outside points all the time for my floor jack, but always use the inboard (published) jacking points as illustrated for jack stands.

Really? I thought it was the "seam" between the middle and rear under belly pans? Thats what I always thought. Wow, glad I didn't try it yet!
 
Yes it is. If you go straight down from the door handle and then underneath...you will see where the 2nd from the rear most belly pan meets the belly pan that would be just under the seats. You want to position the jack just ahead of the seam where those 2 belly pans meet. You can feel 2 screws that are in close proximity to one another there.

OK... It sounds like it is a yes for a JACK on the "door" crossbeam at both the outer crossbeam points, (blue circles) and/or farther inward towards the center along that same line (about 12" in from Blue Circles) at the polished rectangular areas. See Below:
