    Stereo sounds mediocre at best

Get a radio shop to connect a cord to the Mac that is compatible with your I phone plug, on accessories. That's the best low cost solution, sounds great.

    Tach and speedometer repair experience

Replace your battery before you do anything more. My gauges were acting sporadically even though battery would start the engine. Replaced it with new Optima and everything works now.

    Whats Latest Battery Advice?

My Diehard is finally going bad after 12 years and what I've read is over 10 years old. Some folks suggest Optima and others hate them. Sears is gone so... what battery is the best now and please include model number. Thanks

Looking for a GT (2005-6), first time buyer would like to know a bit more.

Agree with the miles thing, your best bet is to find a one or two owner with 15-25k miles since the lower miles cars may have issues from sitting

    Gauge Failure Prevention

OK, say what you will about keeping a charger on your car but I still haven't had even an intermittent gauge failure since I started keeping the car on a tender.

    Ford vs. Ferrari Film (2019)

I think there will be a keen new interest from all kind of non car folks in our 12 year old cars after this movie premieres. Might even bump up values

    Ford vs. Ferrari Film (2019)

It’s called creative license to heighten the storyline to folks who don’t know anything about the story, which is 99 percent of the population. Doesn’t mean it’s right though.

    Storing my 2006 GT

Not good to sit unranked so long, rubber seals especially in the AC compressor start to leak. You should crank it and idle for at least until the oil gets hot every other week.

How many have been wrecked/totalled or exported.

Estimate here years ago that 10 percent have been wrecked, no idea if accurate

Don't jump all over me, but.....Values

These are 13 to 14 year old cars, like any car they will deteriorate if they are not regularly serviced and taken care of. Yes you should walk, repairs can be costly if there is a catastrophic failure: Cheaper is not always better and as said, a well maintained car with 40k miles is much better...

    Ac compressor

Mine failed with two weeks left on the warranty!

    Should I worry?

Costs can escalate quickly on cars kept like this and I agree will need paint correction, the lack of maintenance which is obvious is a major issue on a 14 year old car, pass unless it’s a deal over 50k below normal price

    HELP! Car locking itself...any ideas?

Yeah I replaced my OEM Optima with a Sears Diehard about 7 years ago. I keep it on a full charger and it’s been ok. With Sears going out of business I guess you can’t get it anymore.
