Both work so I guess it’s not the fuse. Only difference from last emissions test is I switched over to a CTEK tender but I am using the cigarette adapter. The old tender cable was installed down near the tow hook, maybe it got in the way of the OBD cables somehow?

I will take a look at the fuse. I brought it to the same place as last time and it worked fine.

I brought my 2006 GT in for emissions test and the gentleman said he was getting no connection at the OBD II port. He mentioned that sometiis is a blown fuse. Has anyone had this issue and know if it is the fuse or could be something else? If it is the fuse which one sould I be looking for...

That is certainly one way to do it and maybe I will. I had to take the bolts out because the old tender was connected between the head of the bolt and the terminal. My plan was to hook this one up the same way but maybe Ill try you way. Either way I lost the nut and will just refresh the bolt...

Looks like I need a new battery terminal bolt and nut, I believe it is 10/32 carriage bolt and lock washer with serrated flange or at least that is what was on there. Is that what came from the factory? Would a local hardware store have what I need?

I don’t own a charger. It was also my understanding that our batteries need a slow charging process. I just bring it to Autozone, hopefully after this I won’t have to do anything besides keep it on the tender.

I purchased one and it has been delivered. Now I need to remove the battery get it charged and hook everything up. I will report back after it being on the CTEK but it may be a while since it’s the middle of winter here and Im not very excited to do the whole battery swap thing yet again..

Both of those tenders you linked are 12V and the Jr. is 6V. Maybe it is a matter or the Jr. being too wimpy for my car at least. Im going to try the CTEK and hope it holds. $100 is ok with me if my car will start when I need it to.

Good info, I will look into that. The alarm guts are under the car so I would have to take the trays off. I’ll revisit that next time they need to come off

Hard to tell how fast it decays, I would say at least a month. What are some possible parasites? Is there a way to find out and button things up? I can certainly try the larger tender, in my research the Jr. should have been good enough but that’s a good suggestion.
