    '05 and'06 differences

The difference between an '05 and an '06, isn't it about 10 grand. Forgive me if this had already been noted for I haven't read the entire post but didn't good old Ford kick it up 10k just for the hell of it??? BD

GT vs. GT40 -- Personal observation.

John, You are right on both accounts. SPF took rights to the name x amount of time ago and they imported the first GT40 last fall. The car was/is at Snakepit Automotive in Long Island, NY who is the dealer I bought my SPF Cobra from. Like the Cobra it is imported as a turn key minus which means...

GT vs. GT40 -- Personal observation.

Thanks for the resposne Gordo. You know I almost purchased a Superformance GT when they first came out to go along with my SPF Cobra. They build wonderful cars and the engineering is phenomenal. I'm running a Roush 351 (bored and stroked to 427, what they call their 427R) and albeit a front...

GT vs. GT40 -- Personal observation.

Absolutely awesome! What a great post and all the best with the car. Quick question regarding the exhaust. How will the clamshell/paint stand up to the header heat? Is it heavily protected? Thanks in advance and congrats again...Dan

What the Most Ridiculous Thing You've Ever Overheard About a GT?

Great story but even better to hear your knowledge and enthusiam towards the car. Their have been way too many threads on this site regarding Ford sales persons lack of knowledge. You represent the product well my friend and your livelyhood even better...Dan:cheers

What the Most Ridiculous Thing You've Ever Overheard About a GT?

Ahhhh, the city of brotherly love!!! You go Joe, let 'em have from all angles and just when they think you've given up, hit 'em again with an intelligent barrage of facts and specs. You'll get that stuff no matter what the subject. Like you with your Vettes I've always been a Viper guy. Now...

    Saw the new Viper yesterday

Have you ever driven a Viper DBK? Completely different power band and always a cu__ hair away from the nearest tree. The balance is not even in the same league as the GT of course due to the drive train configurations and lack of chassis engineering and the throttle is very much on edge at all...

    Saw the new Viper yesterday

DBK, how similar was it to the current SRT coupe. Along with my GT I also own a 2006 white/blue stripes SRT coupe and have heard numerous rumors of the impending supercar Dodge wants to introduce. It supposedely is slated to arrive in 2010. Any thoughts??? :thumbsup Dan

    Female owners

I haven't heard this question asked yet so I'll apologize in advance if it has been on this board. How many female GT owners are out there? I mean real female owners, not the guys who say I bought it for my wife and she let's me drive it all the time! I can't imagine their are many but I'd be...

    Ford GT coldline

Bony, what a wealth of info!!! :thumbsup I knew that SPF and Shelby kissed and made up but also read that some group named Hillbank Auto owned by Lance Stander bought SPF. Either way when they were seperate and Price was running the show SPF replicas were better then the 4000 series cars. Their...

    Ford GT coldline

I'm not sure Bony but I know the CSX continuation series crap that's been built in about five different plants are 4000 series cars. I believe the REAL cars are 2000 and 3000 series cars but I don't know enough about it to give good info. I do know that Shelby's name has gotten tainted lately...

    Nooooooo!!!!!!!

1000% agreed!!! If the animal is wounded beyond help then put it to rest. I personally am an animal lover but would put it down if needed. People bitch about deers running into their cars, like it wants to get hit by 3500 pounds moving at 70 mph. Thanks for the reply Tiger, glad you're okay! The...

    Ford GT coldline

CSX, can you get the car fired up and drive it to the dealer? That's what I would do if possible, don't leave it to the possibilty of an inexperienced flat bed guy who has no clue where to fasten the car not to mention scraping the diffuser. I was in that business for a long time and still...

    $400 oil change

Tiger, the cartridge price is about right but I can't figure out the 17 bucks per quart of oil! You can get the oil from any Ford dealer for about half that cost. maybe 10 bucks a quart at worst. At least your tech did not damage the middle pan like mine did. They were nice about it though and...

    Kindergarten question

Semantics my friend. If productions cars did not have a sequential build number their would be no need for the last six and in some cases (i.e. toyota camry's) the last seven of a vin. These numbers are even more essential when it comes to recalls, ask anyone who has an '05 with a low vin #!!! Dan
