    Seeking BJ auction advice

For service I'd advise you to get a "big service". If you can (and I think you have time) I'd send the car to GT Guy Rich and have him do the refresh. He'll replace every liquid (if it runs, itll be new) and service belts, probably replace the oil pump belt, and do the axle bolt if needed...

    Seeking BJ auction advice

I disagree. Palm Beach doesn't do as well with high performance sports cars. It's more like the older luxury cars. My feeling is that they just don't get the same respect as they get in Scottsdale. My car was one of the last Vegas (Mandalay Bay) auctions before the pandemic and Vegas did well...

    Seeking BJ auction advice

I sold my Heritage at BJ in 2019. We donated a charity car in 2009 and I bought a Cobra at the same auction. The charity car was an extremely positive experience. Proceeds went to the Shelby Foundation. I had several conference calls with Steve and Craig and Jenni from the foundation. My...

Ford Still Has Original 2005-2006 Ford GT Window Stickers

The summary is only one package exists per vehicle. If you're a new owner it won't hurt to ask if the package has been claimed by a previous owner but don't be disappointed if it has. I considered it part of the vehicle and included it with mine when I sold it.

VIN Number on Chassis, Where is it?

You might not need to fully remove the liner. I was able to "rotate" it without fully removing it to access some parts behind the liner. If you do try to remove it be sure to put lots of blue tape on the fender lip as removing it will involve contact with the outside. It's a fairly stiff...

    2005 Ford GT Sweepstakes

Yes. It is. Your chances are the same as winning at the lottery. Maybe better, probably worse. But then so is gambling in general and Las Vegas thrives (and we don't have a state income tax) because people want to think there is something for free. The BBB is pretty useless. You can't...

    2005 Ford GT Sweepstakes

The place and cars are real. you have to decide if putting a few bucks to get prize when you are 10 tickets of several million is worth it. the shelby American collection went to this sweepstakes model a number of years ago. they collected over a million $ in tickets for each of their last...

First DIY Service on our GT - Advice?

I agree that the Ford GT is easy to work on. I did all of my own maintenance. Even swapped muffler (the hard way) and the short throw shifter. Oil change requires removing belly pans, just be sure to leave some slack in the screws when putting them on so you can get the proper overlap...

    2025 - 18th Annual Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale GT Forum Dinner - CANCELLED

If anyone tries to look up cars from last week I found the browser based desktop page to be all but unusable. It used to be you could see the entire docket as a list and search (from within the browser) and open individual vehicles. Now they give you 48 large image panels at a time. Let's say...

Fuel filter, brake fluid and power steering fluid

My philosophy is the fuel filter is good until it isn't. Never part of a scheduled event since they simply don't wear out. I have never changed a fuel filter in any vehicle I've purchased after the 80s. You only need to worry if the fuel being pumped has debris or water. Fuel is simply...
