I think if you talk to those of us who bought Speedhut gauges, the term cheap or low tech are no longer in our vocabulary. The only other words we're going to have to get used to is, "not stock", but that could turn out to be a good thing in some cases.

I have a 3.0 mile route I use. The odometer stayed at 3.0 before and after adjusting The Revs. per mile using a Diablosport preditor.

I went to a 345/30-19 rear tire, a difference of almost 2 inches in diameter, it changed the speedometer accuracy but not the odometer. I guess they get signals from different sources.

After looking at the manual, removing the resevoir doesn't look too bad. Once removed either the impact or drilling out would be easy. For a couple of hours work you could save $1500.

I've never tried, but at this point it seems removing the tank would be the best option. I don't know what a new tank costs but it probably aint cheap. If you damage the tank on the car, you'll have to remove it anyway.

Just to add to the list, Dannmar D7x works fine, plenty of lift and width.

If you are saying your garage is 8' high, that isn't going to be high enough.

I was looking at the cobra head cooling kits, if the GT still has that problem, connecting the freeze out plugs in the rear seems like a walk in the park compared to the mustang.

Just got off phone with Diablosport, got great tech support and walked me through reprogram, problem solved. I guess I pushed a wrong button and activated the PATS. something new everyday.
