Depends on the price, $500 take a chance, $1500 ask to test them first. Come to think of it, ask to test them in any case.

Strange if there is no code thrown. If you have a code reader check it out for the hell of it. If you have the chance try disconnecting the battery overnight, probably wouldn't hurt either.
