Does anyone think Ford will replace the gauges for free? I wonder if it's going to be a $2000 rip-off. Does anyone trust their Ford dealer to do the job?
Do you have the ability to reload the stock tune? Just as an aid to see if you have a tune problem or possibly a mechanical problem. I don't know if that makes sense but it seems a source of more information toward the mystery.
I have a whipple and headers, I'm running 15Lbs. and had a misfire code and a bad misfire. I checked the plugs, they all looked good. I replaced them with NGK TR7IX iridium plugs and never had the problem again.
Who are you going to trust to install your new improved Ford gauges? I think many don't trust local Ford dealerships to work on their GT's. If you do your own work the speedhut gauges allow a warm-up for the installation of the new Ford gauges. I think most people once they have the speedhuts...
The secret is to be early .I get there by 6 A.M. and almost all cars are allowed in, by 7 A.M. they have to start to get particular. By 8 A.M. the lines become ridiculous and its one car out and one car in. I have never seen a GT or Viper or even a Mustang turned away.
