Will putting a Whipple on hurt the value?

The obvious answer is: Depends upon the potential buyer when you are trying to sell. Some may not want it and some may want it. Only the Shadow knows for sure.

That is really no big deal since the tanneries for leather are located throughout Asia due to environmental and other issues.

Ford Sells Jag and Land Rover

See what colonialism got you. Seriously if you look at resources put into Jaguar amd what it will take in the future for both Range/Land Rover and Jaguar it makes financial sense based on the small profit projections from these divisions compared to expenses. Dave

Not happy with Ford at this moment.

That's because that was the minimum standard in the United States. The same warranty does not apply in Europe. Be careful in giving credit when its really not deserved. As to taking a different approach that may work for some and not for others. Laying out $ 7,800 to get a GT repaired...

200 mph, Whipple and the Salt Flats

Mike Remember its a standing mile, car may not reach its top speed. Problem at Maxton, like most places is hooking-up as the track is extremely bumpy. There have been at least 2 GTs at Maxton that I am aware of; a black one and a tungsten one. Don't know if they were Whippled, assume not based...

Fees for driving high polluting cars in London. Is a GT considered high polluting?

Neil I always knew there was a need for Arthur Scargill and his henchman Mick McGahey. McGahey in his prime probably would have done it on his own. Maybe their followers can get rid of Ken the Red for you and the rest of sensible Londoners. :cheers Dave

200 mph, Whipple and the Salt Flats

Remember ECTA MAxton is a standing mile. There have been GTs there before. They must have full roll cages if over 175 mph, so he is not running the GT as shown on the dyno without a full roll cage installed. Also he needs a parachute for braking and I think a fire supression system.

    Dyno work

Some companies demand better aero than others for many reasons. What looks sleek is not always sleek. If you read "All Corvettes are Red" it describes the design porcess of the C5 and a goal was equalling the lowest cd production car in the world at that time, the LS400 Lexus which was at .30...

    Dyno work

A GT has a cD of approximately .40 which is not that aero. A C5 Vette, non-Z06, has a cD of .29. The new LS460 Lexus (yes the big 4 door sedan) has a cD of .26. :cheers Dave

    Dyno work

Fubar Most dynos are 180 mph, some are 200 mph. Even a 180 mph is no problem since you are running in 4th and will not hit 200 on the dyno. To me its not the dyno but the person running the dyno as the most important factor. Dave :cheers
