Have you ever raced to NOT win?

To be able to rent the original 1966 Shelby GT-350H, you had to have a competition license (SCCA or equivalent) - it was not available to the general public to rent. Such has not been the case with the 2006 or the new 2016. There were 936 GT-350H cars produced in 1966.

And, if the leading Corvette(#3) and Porsche(#911) hadn't taken each other out while fighting for the lead, likely would have been 7th & 10th (DFL in class)! The reliability of the cars has improved since Daytona - now it's time to improve the performance!

With such close racing, I'm wondrous about the lag in acceleration caused by the turbos when coming out of each yellow flag period. Just a layman's observation....

Is there a large pocket sewn on the back? The Ford covers had that, because the net pocket on the front of the seats becomes unusable.

I believe they assembled the whole car from the chassis up. We toured the Watson Factory at GTJoey's event in 2013. It's about ½ way from Ford in Dearborn to the GT Guys in South Rockwood.

On the XK-E Jaguars, they screen painted them on the front of the hood - looked rather cool. I'm pretty sure I still have all of those, some are getting pretty short by now though.

Do we have to supply our own crayons, or will Ford give us a set with their own copyrighted colors (remember when Crayola retired "Burnt Umber?").
