    Ford GT in PGR3

...very sad to admit this but when I was agonising over colours, I bought a GT in all the exterior colour choices I was considering, stuck them in my PGR3 garage and had a "walk around" (using first person) looking at the colours from that perspective. The photo-realism of this game is simply...

    Is it stupid...

Charlie, I think this is a very interesting question - and I'm in the same boat as you! In the UK, all the cars are 'new' and for sale (and no one can pull on Ford to loan them a demo car); hence, no one is willing to let you test drive one because 5-10 miles make it less than 'new'. While I...

    Any well connected Ford people?

Well the UK Agent is in the US at the moment and has a spare 24-hours to look at a car that matches my spec. MJ has pointed me in the direction of a Midnight car, should I wish to relent and have MacIntosh... which at the moment I am trying to avoid at all costs! :ack I have included Black...

    Any well connected Ford people?

It's called opportunity cost and trust me, the £30,000-£35,000 I'm saving is well worth it :wink I've also had a lot of fun on the journey and met some good people... if I wanted to buy a wrong spec (for me) or a colour I don't really fancy, it would be easy. But I'm holding out for choice one...

Goodwood Festival of Speed 2006 (UK) - Dan Gurney (pictures)

The greatest driver never to win the World Championship, Sir Stirling Moss OBE is arguably the greatest all-round racing driver of all time. Known during his career as ‘Mr Motor Racing’ he began hillclimbing a Cooper 500 in 1948 at the age of 18. His early career was meteoric and soon he was...

WANTED - Midnight Blue w/ stripes, wheels & red calipers

Guys, Does anyone know of a NEW Midnight Blue GT with stripes, wheels and red calipers at a dealer? At this stage, I'm looking for new - not one that has been driven with dealer plates! My UK agent will be in the USA over the next 4-days and is willing to visit any dealership if I (he) can...

Could we have a 'normal' smilie?

Any chance of a 'normal' smilie... just a plain, nice, no hidden agenda, smile? The rest are all good but when you just want to say: thanks, or show that you don't have any sarcasm in a comment, a plain smilie would be nice. For instance: -

    800 Miles of Magic

Sounds like a great trip Neil... and some good photographs - really the stuff of excellent motoring memories. I'll bet is was also nice to drive the GT on the side of the road for which it was designed :thumbsup

    Any well connected Ford people?

Neil, You're right - I could do that but the problem is I did some research (as you know) and found out what I could buy the car for - hence the silly UK premiums :ack are not an option for me Ignorance would be bliss :wink ....but I have seen the light and it is $5,000 - $7,000 less...

As a side note, I wish I had one of Ed's stickers... would have loved to have passed it to the marshal to give to Dan to stick on the GT40 for his hill run... can you imagine! My guess is he would have had a good laugh over that :thumbsup Ed where were you?!? Didn't you see the GT-Spotlight...

Charlie, the last one sold for $185.00 This one didn't hit the reserve and bidding stopped at about $170 Now that I know what they're worth, I'll step up because the fellow has relisted it at $167. They seem to come up about once or twice a week :thumbsup Simon

Ford GT Dealer Book - why so expensive?!?

Good to know they actually cost a fair whack when the dealers bought them... it makes me feel less 'ripped off' paying silly money for one :wink Okay guys, no bidding on the one currently featured on eBay... don't want to get into a race and line the sellers pockets :wink :biggrin

Goodwood Festival of Speed 2006 (UK) - Dan Gurney (pictures)

It is such a great event... I invited one of my American friends and he was amazed at how little (if any) security there was. As I am used to it, his first-timer view point was refreshing. He couldn't get over the fact that you could walk up to, look in and generally 'paw over' all these...
