Paint Protection Shops for New GT

At time of delivery, the concierge and/or delivery specialist will tell you when the paint will be ready for PPF. In my case, it was exactly 2 weeks after delivery.

Paint Protection Shops for New GT

I did not do the underpanels, but imagine they could. I did do under the doors, probably the most important part. I'm not sure you can PPF wheels (I have the base wheels, not carbon), but could probably ceramic coat. He doesnt do ceramic coating but provided recommendations for the best 2...

Paint Protection Shops for New GT

Beautiful car. Now you have the hard time of waiting for the paint to cure. Several of us in Atlanta have used Atlanta Protective Films in Roswell GA. I believe he said they've done 4 NFGTs. I got my car done 3 weeks ago and they did a great job. I went back last week to have the foot wells...

    NFGT floor mats?

Has anyone found a good solution for floor mats? I know there are some expensive options out there with the same basic footprint as the stock ones. I'm interested in something preferably plastic that protects the carbon fiber, especially along the sides of the footwell like the areas circled...

Thanks everyone. Yes, the waiting for the paint to cure and then another week for the PPF film will be torturous. But I love walking into the garage and taking a peak every day.

Is the hope for manuals in the future?

My 17 year old got a manual for his first car last year. There is a hint of hope. He says there are a handful of manuals in his high school parking lot. Definitely a minority.

    Introducing M034 Liquid Red GT

My 2006 GT was delivered on a rainy day in May of 2014. So it seems only fitting that my new GT would be delivered on an equally rainy day. Like many of you in August 2015, we listened to Raj talk about the new GT and how many current GT owners would end up with a new GT. While that was...

    NFGT Door Height

Thanks all. Mines at 61" So I'll need to get some more clearance. I have a wall mount opener that I havent installed yet. That should get me there. Guess the 06 will live on the bottom for a while.

    Cracked Windshield

Is there a thread on the delamination issue or can someone explain it? Also, doesnt the wind at high speeds apply pressure to the windshield. I'm a bit surprised to hear that pressure during a Clearplex installation could break the glass.

    Funny classic

There is a cool video on youtube where Ford benchmarked the GT mule with a 4.6 engine vs the 360 at Road Atlanta. Going from memory the GT was 2 seconds faster with only 400HP.

    NFGT Door Height

Are any of you guys storing your NFGT under your old GT on a lift? At what height do you need the lift to keep the doors from hitting? Or must you always put the NFGT on top because it isnt practical. Thanks
