Test Drive as part of program

When I bought my 2006 there was no test drive. You pretty much knew what you were getting, then it exceeded all your expectations. I would expect the new GT to be no different. And I really, really, really hope it makes it to the Calgary International Show next week!

    Finally it's here...

If that's a Prius GT, we're gonna need a new name.

Here is an article that sure depresses me.

They will invent teleportation. All the riff-raff who shouldn't be driving anyway, too lazy to drive themselves, or just needing to get there,. will "beam me elsewhere, Scotty" The roads will be empty. Except for us. And we all lived happily ever after. It's my fantasy, leave me alone.

Supercar Gathering Costa Mesa - 2/27/16

Wow, really tight parking. If the organizers wont give me enough room to fully open my doors, I just go away. As custodian for this piece of automotive art, showing it is a way of sharing but not at obvious risk to the car. Some of those spaces look tight for a no-rub walk between.

I want to buy a 05/06 Ford GT

PPI a must, from someone with Ford GT experience such as The GT Guys. With the cost, rarity, and the nature of what this car is - very few have been mistreated. If you're going to drive it mileage should not be an issue. As Pete K said put the savings into extra goodies, many of which have...

Ford GT to be the first car with Gorilla Glass windows

About 14 seconds into the last video it states "conventional glass on the outside, Gorilla glass on the inside" ??? Does this mean no additional resistance to pitting?

Remember when Ford had a difficult time finding buyers for its GT40 Mk I road car?

Since the first Model T was built in 1908, that would make you somewhere on the high side of 106 years old. And still driving! Congratulations!

    IMSA Balance of Performance Changes

I wonder if Ford is pushing the envelope by producing a street car with active aero, thus justifying pressure to allow it on future race cars? And why was it ever banned from racing?

Dan Gurney looks ahead to Ford's return to Le Mans

A reminder or FYI: Dan Gurney was the first to shake and spray the champagne from the winners podium, which we now see at almost all motorsport events. http://jalopnik.com/5830352/this-is-the-first-bottle-of-champagne-sprayed-after-winning-a-race Who gets this years bottle?

Is the '05-06 GT passé ?

It is, sounds like you've been there.

    What are the chances?

Projected production...250 cars / year for 4 years, only 1000 or so total. Personally I think Ford is making a mistake - if the car makes any profit at the expected price of $400k, good. But the real benefit to Ford would be the good-will and magnetism of the new GT. This will largely be lost...

Dan Gurney looks ahead to Ford's return to Le Mans

The Ford GT returns to LeMans...I can't imagine Dan not being there. And maybe Chris Amon (1966), AJ Foyt & Dan Gurney (1967), Jacky Ickx & Jackie Oliver (1969) all of whom are still with us. Researching who was still around, it,s sad how many of the early drivers ended their lives on a track...

Ed, what's with all the straight roads? Near Moab , Utah.

    What are the chances?

Ralphie, I like your recommendations on "who". I would add to the list the GT Guys, who have dedicated their careers (much more love for the cars than just a business) to keeping so many of our GTs tuned, tricked, and on the road. It's too bad we couldn't make such recommendations to Ford...
