    Decent US Sat-Nav

Guys, Not strictly GT related but could use a US perspective on this please. I come over to the USA a lot on business and vacation and I am sick and tired of paying exhorbitant sums to hire out a Sat-Nav with my hire car. (usually $13.99 a day plus taxes) I've had a few problems with the...

So what's the verdict on the Whipple 4.0L

I thought I was having this issue - turns out it was just the clutch struggling to cope and slipping! New clutch needed! My 4.0L install went smoothly only problem is rear tire useage!

Guys, What would be the anticipated cost for a complete set of front & rear calipers and rotors as fitted to Stormcat's GT?

    Tachometer Stopped Working

This is worrying me! I don't have the "official" Ford battery tender - so I am uisng the Porsche one that came with my Carrera GT - so far so good - but wonder.....would it be better to remove the battery and charge it on the bench when the car isnt going to be used for a while?? :confused

    Shadowman and his "Hot Buttons"

Issue sorted! Andrew was as efficient as ever - new set on way to me next week. Was just part of that bad batch. Excellent - cheers Andrew!

    Shadowman and his "Hot Buttons"

Guys, Thank god I eventually remembered about this thread - I've been pulling my hair out trying to fit my "hot buttons" all morning - all I have to show for it are some busted fingernails, sore fingertips and a load of gouges in the seats!! My buttons seem to be from the "bad batch" - unless...

Stillen front splitter - how does it mount? Any good?

Matteo, Yes indeed - I think this has put me off the whole idea! If it had been one complete unit securely mounted to the car itself I would have been interested but not if it's just riveted on to the exisitng spoiler! :frown

FACTORY AIR BOX PROBLEM SOLVED! Whipp 4.0 900 RWHP!

great work Rockstar! How much power does everyone think would be possible with the 4.0 if someone developed a "built from scratch - designed for the purpose" air -box to cope with the extra demands of the 4.0L Whipple??

Fikse wheels Size 18” front and 19” Rear. Fitted with Hoosier Tires

excellent! :biggrin 997Gt2's are indeed quick - wish I'd kept mine but luckily got out of it before they took a big hit and gt2.2 is on the way soon - would be quite a track weapon if they could take a little more weight out and gave it PDK! On the exhaust front - can Dave J at Roush (or...

Stillen front splitter - how does it mount? Any good?

Guys, I am intrigued by the Stillen front splitter. I have been thinking of buying one but wanted to know if anyone had one fitted to their gal? Does the Stillen unit REPLACE the existing front spoiler - or simply attach to the existing unit? In the pictures I have seen it seeems like there...

    What top speed?

Matteo, Do you think I would get chucked off with mine? - straight-through racing pipes - no silencers or CAT's ??
  15. D

    What top speed?

If it's the place I'm thinking of (Bruntingthorpe in UK) then - whilst there is a 2 mile straight - that inlcudes the braking area (which leads off into a sharp right turn) so there isn't actually a full 2 mile straight get up to V-Max on. Current record at this location is a RuF RT12 at...

    What top speed?

Matteo, Didn't a GT get up to circa 193 MPH there last year?? You need to get Roush to fit a 4.0 Whipple - that will sort it! (And should get you well over 200!) In fact look what this Geiger FGT achived with just a 3.4L Whipple: You would be able to beat those pesky RuF's !

Tuned GT beats all comers in Europe!

Guys, A german magazine did a test recently of some mega-buck supercars and a load of modified/Tuner cars. Guess which car came out top? I think this Geiger GT (the last black one they built I think) had a Gen II Whipple and standard brakes - but I may be mistaken?

I you thought our FGT's muffler is big.

The engine block gives the game away. Early in the development of the McLaren F1 - Mclaren needed some vehicles to act as test mules for various components. They purchased a number of Ultima rolling-chassis - and then proceeded to fit them with test engines and other running gear. They were...

    Geiger Cars Ford GT

Wonder how they "only" got 779hp out of the 4.0L? Maybe the exhaust is too restrictive? Mine is putting out 810 albeit with racing headers. Those wheels look OK ...but....they use spacers front and rear to get the offset/backspace right.
