    Speedometer Stuck

Yes. And after 8 years and 50,000 miles or so, my Speedhut gauges (whole panel) are all working perfectly.

Mystery switch, does anyone have an idea what is could be?

Option 5 seems a bit extreme. Maybe a "cone of silence"? So you can hear the wonderful sounds from the engine, of course.

    First Gen Cars.

I was wondering whether you had any Yenkos given your user name. Congrats. And from your last message, I extrapolate that you also are a veteran. Thanks for your service. I have 90,000 miles on my 2005. Only regular maintenance required. Hell, I'm even still on the original brake pads...

    Gas struts for NFGT doors

That seems to be the trend in cars now. You don't own it, you "license" it. And something I have learned from my experience buying a new 2021 F150 diesel is that every time you want to access the monthly vehicle report that Ford provides, you first have to accept the new privacy and licensing...

    Speedometer Stuck

So the plastic binnacle around the gauge panel is $3200??? That's absurd, and a good example of a part that can be 3D printed for a fraction of that price.

    WTB Windshield washer reservoir

I've had the Cooltech improved lifts for two years. Do not even consider the stock replacements.

Using a kit car part for 05/06 GT?

I'm not buying any more plastic trim parts. I figure 3D printing will be able to replace them. Clamshell vents? Print them as needed and paint to match. Or print them in any color you want. I think that in a couple years 3D printing in metal will be cheap enough to make some of those parts too.

Ford Still Has Original 2005-2006 Ford GT Window Stickers

"Hard to believe 20 years ago now but still incredible." Yes, mine is coming up on its 20th birthday in a month. Maybe I should take it out to dinner.

    Classic Motorsport nice piece

Sure, the Miura is sexy like an Italian supermodel. But the FGT is brutally handsome in an All-American way. Put them together for a night...

Catch up on the Impossible GT Project

I'm in awe. I've rebuilt an olde 911, but parts are available for that. I have a hard time even imagining how much you had to do from scratch. Bravo!

Original Goodyear Eagle tires- set of 4

Nah, put 'em on Bring a Trailer. Given what anything off a Ford GT has fetched recently, some fool might buy them for $4000. Some of the sales I've seen on BaT are just nuts.

First DIY Service on our GT - Advice?

Speaking of fuel filters: Has anyone tried back-flushing a filter and reusing it? I wouldn't ordinarily consider this, but if the parts are not available, ya do what ya gotta do.

Recommendations on shops that can install Ohlins TTX Coilovers in S Florida

Easy to do yourself, however if you're allergic to tools, any decent shop can do it. They don't have to be GT specialists. Ask around your area for a good shop that works on custom and race cars. However, if you are holding off buying them until you find the right shop, don't. Buy them now...

    Clutch oil leak

Hachi san: The "clutch oil" actually is brake fluid, not oil. If it leaks, you can identify it by smell and taste. Check the clutch reservoir to see if the level has gone down. If you are looking for maintenance to do while you have the car, flush the brake and clutch fluid, if they have...

    Bad Rear Lateral Links

Yes, I did them in August or thereabouts. I replied on your other thread too. No need to replace the bolts and nuts. They are not TTY.
