CNBC reports Apple in talks with McLaren

I think the benefits to Apple would be acquiring the software and engineering aspects that McLaren has. Apple is sitting on over $200 billion in cash overseas and can't repatriate it at less than a 40% tax rate. They would be getting a discount on the purchase, as opposed to bringing the money...

CNBC reports Apple in talks with McLaren

Just reported on CNBC. Might be a nice combo. McLaren possibly valued at up to $2 billion?

What car to buy while waiting for GT350R prices to come down?

I've recently been offered a 350 and 350R at MSRP so I think prices are coming down. If that's what you want, I think you can find it now or in the near future. If you can buy a GT350R at MSRP why don't you buy it and flip it? Easy $5-10K minimum profit. ADM's are coming down on the 2016's as...

    Pebble Beach

Too many for sale at one time causes the low prices. Especially when you run three cars back to back. Mecum did that at Kissimmee a couple years ago with the same result. That $375K price on the 6 mile red car was a strong price for a Canadian car as they usually sell at a discount.

How About The First Road GT40?

Also two more GT's on Saturday, lot #S57 2006 Red with 6 miles and lot #S129 2006 Heritage with 541 miles. Only the Heritage has a reserve. The others will all sell.

    New Shelby GT500(?)

My best uninformed guess is that Ford will not produce two Shelby products at the same time in the future. I also see a V-8 in the new GT500 that will have more HP than the ZL1 @ 650 and the Hellcat @ 707. Pure speculation (and wishful thinking) on my part.

    GT350R street price

The dealer I purchased my GT500 from didn't get an "R" allocation and said that they were going for $20K over between dealers for an allocation as of a couple months ago. If you can get one for $15K over that is currently a deal. $20K over is the going rate I have found. This is on a new car...

I heard this is the week...

The first bottle in a 1995 Screaming Eagle from Napa, California... if YES My celebration party would begin with a 1990 Dom Perignon with appetizers followed by a 1961 Latour with beef tenderloin and a 1967 Ch. d'Quem to cap it off.

Heritage at Mecum Denver auction fails to sell

Lot # S130, a 10,800 mile Heritage Edition failed to sell yesterday. It was bid up to $240K and "the bid goes on". Prices appeared low, as a 1991 Corvette ZR1 lot # F48 sold for $12,500 before commission. Yes the C-4's have their issues but that's cheap. Lot S141, a 2016 Shelby GT350R in red...

    Takata airbag recall

Just had my driver's side done again this week. I had requested the same mechanic that did both actuators a year and a half ago. Very simple process for the driver's side. Paperwork took longer than the replacement. It's the exact same part they are using in the 2007-2012 Mustang GT500's recall...

    1965 G.T. 350 Comes Home

Great story. A 1965 G.T.350 just changed hands at Mecum Indianapolis this past week. It was an early serial # 41 "double digit" version out of the Joe McMurrey collection. An older restoration that has held up very well. Lot # F125 on Friday 5-20-16. Went for $500K.

A day with the Ford Heritage collection and a FGT race car

It's been rumored that Ford has a stash of "in the wrapper" 2005/2006 FGT's put away somewhere. Can anyone confirm the rumor?
