If its overfilled, yes you can take oil out the fill cap with a turkey baster or other suction device. If its only slightly overfilled, I'd leave it. As long as there is good air space above the oil level for the bubbles to get out and not overflow.

Have you checked the dipstick after its warmed up and just shut down? If its full to the top line on the dipstick when cold it will be overfilled when warm. Engine must be warm and have been shut down no more than 60 seconds prior to checking oil level. This is different than any other Ford...
