Another reject list guy here. Original owner of an '06, bought Nov 2006 and closing in on 22,000 miles. I suspect Ford will have to make about 4,000 of this model also, for folks like myself to ever have a shot at one.

Thanks for the encouragement Dave. Makes me wonder how many folks on the deferred list (like myself) have owned a GT for almost 10 years, and put 21,000+ miles on it, have owned Fords since I could drive, and hang on your forum (almost 10 years).

I have a cheap steel trailer (Wells Cargo) about 3500 pounds with winch and E track - almost 7K with my GT loaded, but I haul with a RAM Megacab diesel dually, so no trouble at all.

I visit the Petersen Museum and the NHRA Museum every time I am in Los Angeles - been there dozens of times. I have not been to the Petersen since the renovation - gotta do it.

There is a 6 page road test article about this car (I suspect it is the same car - no serial number listed in article), in the November 1966 edition of Car Life Magazine. Reading this article (in jr high back 1966) gave me the FGT bug in the first place. MSRP in 1966 was $17,120.00.

Somehow, I failed to complete the application process a couple of days ago and got a heads up email from Ford Program Headquarters - now have an application submission confirmation from GTAPPSUP. Perhaps Ford is helping us along with the process.

You can get a license plate holder from Moweraxle. Screws into the tow hook port on the front of the car.

The FORD GT website says coming this fall.

Me too! saved original belts, battery, air filters, original car cover still sealed in plastic bag, tags, stickers, plastic seat covers, etc, etc. I went through the restoration process with a BOSS 429 and I know how difficult it is to return a car to original condition.
