    FGT Oil Pump Drive Belt

I scoped this out once as Grainger part Y-720 for a replacement belt. That belt from Grainger is made by Continental. Seems to me it as a little bit stiffer. I never installed it. Search the archives.

    Looking for a 350r allocation

Just took a peek down at my local Ford dealer today at a 2017 GT350 which has a $20K ADM and a 2017 GT350R with a $50K ADM. Brandon Ford in Tampa is selling new 2017 GT350 with no ADM. Got the no ADM price quote this weekend from Brandon Ford. Should have asked about a GT350R but didn't see...

    Oil temperature

Where is a good spot to place an oil temp sensor? Is it a good idea to tee it off of the pressure gauge or to modify the oil tank for a bung? Thanks, David

    Extending front O2 sensor wires

Has anyone extended the front O2 sensor wires? I see where they make O2 extender harnesses for Mustangs but I was told they don't fit the GT wiring harness plug. Thanks, David

    oil pump belt interchange experiment

Out of curiosity I ordered a H.O.T. belt from Grainger to compare to the Ford oil pump belt. It is a Continental ContiTech SilentSync belt part number Y-720. It is described as a 8MM pitch 90 tooth 720 mm length belt. It looks like an exact dimensional fit. The belt does seem to be stiffer...

Vehicle registration now required to purchase parts

Vehicle Registration Now Required to Purchase Parts. I think they failed to think this through and probably to notify the legal department that they sold Ford GT engines via Ford Racing when they got the okay. Since a legitimate Ford Racing customer cannot buy dealer only parts anymore even...

    GT v Pantera

My recollection from back in the 70's was it was the emissions regulations that made Ford choose the Windsor over the Cleveland. The Australians continued making Clevelands into the 80's.
