VIR event (May 29-31, 2009) and NJMP event (July 17-18, 2009) by SVT Cobra Club

July 17-18, 2009 -- Millville, NJ -- New Jersey Motorsports Park About a week away, though I see an event towards Boston on this forum that sounds pretty good, and there's Lime Rock, and there's Road America; but for my NY-NJ-PA-DE-MD-CT-VA group; we now have at least 4 FGT's signed up for the...

    Windshield Wiper Problems?

I cannot explain why, but after I have had my wipers off the car for a while, and then put them back onto the car, it takes a few minutes before they run at any setting except max. And with the wipers off, they cycle only in max and this makes it a bit more a chore to get them on correctly...

Brake Fluid Replacement and Bleeding Required for Track Day?

http://www.fordgtforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13875&highlight=motive Earlier links are out there on this. I had not pushed out the brake fkuid on my first day out and after about 5 laps had to really slow down as the brakes went away. Now I change it twice a year. Easy to do and haven't...

Pics from the Carlisle All-Ford Nationals - please post your pics here!

    Here are the few I have . . Too much walking and talking and not enough photo's taken this time: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Pete S.

    Shadowman and Petunia's Vent Project

More photo's of "cleared" vents. I finally got these photo's up; while at Carlisle I decided to display them on my car for everyone to have a look. John and his machinist have created some long lasting replacements that can always easily be removed should one want the plastic back on. In my...

Before / After GT Guys Enhancement at Carlisle - Video enclosed -->

Lance, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ao4XWu2hTBA I finally figured out how to clip a section out of a longer video sent to me a while back from a local Mustang Club I run with; as most of the FGT's remain garaged; and posted my first You Tube video from a Dyno pull back in May. Totally happy...

    A day at Spokane Raceway

Sounds like you had some fun with your ride. I had no road course experience prior to putting this car out there. The first couple of times out, and a couple since, especially in the rain, I have opted to leave the Goodyear's on. The Hoosier's were quite affordable when I got them from another...

"Long" The removal of the OEM muffler w/o removing the clamshell

Shadowman, Of course I am quite appreciative for the support I receive from you and others on this forum. And for those with any hesitation about this service or that repair to their own cars, I can only say seek a bit of advice and be reassured that most everything can be done at home. Perhaps...

"Long" The removal of the OEM muffler w/o removing the clamshell

A big thanks to Carl (CJ428), Bill (SHADOWMAN) and of course Rich and Denis (THE GT GUYS) for their help in parts and knowledge in pulling my deteriorating stock muffler and installing what I think is the Accufab H-Pipe. I had just finished up replacing my rotors and throwing on a new set of...

    On the lighter side

Jeff . . . I am in a way on Lance's side in this; hate needles in any form. That being said if Carl can get a hanful made up as removable tattoo's, I might give them a shot. . . with or without the wheels. The "lines" of the general shape are outstanding. Pete S.

Nice video Lance. I had missed when they were lowering it. Pete S.

Carl, Interesting, of course. Forget about the barn. I have tried to include a couple of your favorite upgrades: Pete S.

    GTG clamshell release hooks

Having seen this product first hand, as well as the item mounted onto CJ's nice FGT, I can say it operates flawlessly. As with all FGT related items from the GTG's Rich & Denis, the quality is super. As I age and bones begin to compress losing my height and ability to reach both from the drivers...

    Speeding ticket in Oregon

Prior to radar detectors many years ago I would get the infrequent speeding ticket. Back in the eighties, I had a toy running mid tens at about 128. Even became a super pro track champion of a Virginia track in '86. Recently on a dyno day a fellow that had put his nice Mustang on the treadmill...

    gt trailer

Another option that forces you to keep too many pounds off is a regular old standard enclosed trailer: access in and out of the window for those of us non-winchers. Pete S.

    Speedy Sleeve cut-off

My 2005 #0507 is a speedi sleeved car. For whatever reason, as everything seems to happen to me, most recently the power steering hose, speedi-sleeve'd car had a rear main seal leak at around 20,000 miles. My concerns of failure are about zero, it should hold up as well every other car, with or...

GT 40 Event Marque Road America

Jeff, implementing your on track and off track advice might make such a feat possible. Give me a bit more practice and I'll consider it. Until then my friend, I am trying to organize a few VIR pics of a couple of weekends back. http://1fordgt.com/VIR09/pVIR001.JPG...

GT 40 Event Marque Road America

Wish I could get out to this event, same weekend conflicts with Limerock for some, and New Jersey Motorsports Park - Tunderbolt for others. That being said, the great folks that brought the Falken GT-2 Ford GT to Carlisle told me that they may very well have the car prepared and out for the Road...

    Ford Carlisle Event Gt Style!!!!

Having one of the shorter rides home, it was an easy Sunday tow back home. I made certain everyone save the Quick Silver got out of the parking lot and we finally got Lance's ride off the lift. It is always great learning from other FGT owners, and having a bit of food and drinks with them...

    Power Steering

Just a quick update; XRAYCOOK (Mike) now has the failed piece and will check into the replication of a slightly sturdier replacement. Just back from Carlisle, and it will take a bit of time to purchase and devise a method of adding a P clamp with an appropriate hanger. Pete S.
