I had the same problem after replacing the gauge cluster. The problem is that the odometer wire connector (the harness end) plugs onto connector pins on the odometer module which are not captured in a connector and thus easily bent to the side during reassembly. Pull the cluster back out but...

The gauges are junk to begin with so it won't get any better than that.

Goodyear F1 flat out suck. Get Bridgestones and never look back.

I followed that method exactly; didn't matter, the gaugesjust kept failing! New Red Top battery likewise made no difference. That aside, Speedhut gauges look better than OEM, especially now that the voltage gauge is numerically indexed.
