Chip, before you buy a new Borla contact them and tell them of your problem. I had the exact same issue two or three years ago and they produced a new muffler for me. I've been using a non-Optima, AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) battery of the proper dimensions for years. If you don't care about points deductions at Pebble Beach, just buy a good AGM battery. The C-TEK maintainer, recommended here often, has a specific mode for AGM batteries.

Recommend an adjustable wrench for the 2005/2006 GT for the battery ground. I got stuck once........never again.

I developed the 2005/2006 FGT shade for Covercraft when I told them it didn't exist in their catalog. One of you NFGT owners should contact them and offer to use their prototype kit to configure a new windshield shade application.

Those two must have been the best. They did mine, too.
