SORRY to hear that. I would get high quality swirl remover/polishing compound and try to remove any marks that can be polished out. I too have not been happy with my touch-up technique on other cars...but a pro shop may be able to do it (on a mirror as opposed to a panel).

I had two Buddies with red GTs (both with white stripes). I am not a "red sports car" fan...BUT the red is stunning in person.

I can imagine that low mileage GTs might not have a lot/any maintenance records (as they may not have required any). Even with 46,000 miles on my GT, the maintenance book/log is sparse.

I probably understated the qualifications of the person that told me this (expanding foam) BUT it is their first-person story/technique to tell.

I believe I understood that some reputable repairers shoot expanding foam into the void and this bonds the rivet heads in place (and/or minimizes the rattling around).
