Wasn’t an integrity issue, but rather a panel fit issue. Solution? Cover up the panel gap with a bandaid clip! Both of my 2005 FGTs were early cars and had them. The later cars did not.

The intercoolers are larger on the newer cars. They basically fill the opening, whereas previously they were shorter and there was a panel at the bottom.

💯. It’s probably tough for people who wanted a car and didn’t get one to see the flipping going on. But as you stated it’s really hard to tell what people will do in the end. On balance, I think Ford did about as good a job as could be done.
