    New to CT… service shops?

You might try Speedsport in Danbury. I think of them as a Porsche shop, but they did amazing work on a Connecticut friend’s 2006 Heritage GT when they couldn’t find the right parts for the transmission.

What kind of GT--2005/2006 or a NFGT? Also, how far north in Fairfield Cty? Are you talking Greenwich, or Sherman?

    2020 Mk2 on BaT 4/3/25

It costs about $5,000 to $6,000 per hour to run a race car. About $2,000 per hour in tires alone (this may be a dated number), so driving a real race car isn't for the faint of wallet! There's a big, big cost leap between a GT4 and a 911 Cup car, which is why the dedicated track toys have such...

    2020 Mk2 on BaT 4/3/25

Fantastic car, but to be fair it IS limited use. Not streetable and not really a racer (no spec series, etc.). But it is a lotta car for the money, and for the right buyer, a steal!

Catch up on the Impossible GT Project

Amazing work! Would love to see photos from the whole process, either posted here or some sort of link. What's the ETA for a finished car? Kenneth

Ford GT Architect Raj Nair Now Helms This Company

New, much larger facility. There is a lot of activity around the turbo and DLS, but I think they were only going to to do ~ 450 of the original, 964 based Singers...which isn't a lot! Perhaps they've got some additional products in the pipeline, which will require all that space. Stay tuned!

Ford GT GT3 Matech for sale

Not street legal (at least not in the USA). But other than that, great idea! Wonder what the import duties would be on something like that...

    Mighty Heritage

When I bought my first GT, the difference was about $40k for a Heritage. And I thought the same thing--20% more for blue paint? As an "investment", that would have been the way to go, obviously. But I wanted the traditional American racing colors of white w/blue stripe, and I've been happy...

Racing the GT - is it capable ?

One of my favorite racing jokes: Q; How is racing a Ferrari Challenge car and a spec Miata alike? A: It’s impossible to do $30,000 of damage!

Racing the GT - is it capable ?

Without mods, the 2005-2006 Ford GT isn't that great on the track. It's heavy and getting it to turn is...difficult. That said, thundering down the straight is amazing! I've had a 2005 GT on track in NY and also in Utah. Loads of fun, but definitely a (beautiful) GT car and not a race car...

Ford GT Architect Raj Nair Now Helms This Company

Did not see that one coming! We looked at doing an investment in Singer--neat company, but in the end small volume, with a high dependency on specialized labor (and a finite supply of 964 chassis). Still, if Raj can get me a "friends and family" price I'm all ears! ;) Kenneth
