Clamshell not unlatching on driver's side

It's not like Ford didn't use zip ties on this car anyways.

    Refurbishing steering wheel emblem

Remove the explosive portion before shipping it to Shelby, it just unscrews from the actual bag. Don't mess up the bag/horn assembly screw access/vanity covers. They're not cheap.

    Part needed

Replace with the springs(off of a Stang?). Part number is on the forum somewhere. Get new plastic inserts from 2112. Put anti-seize on threads of other stop before pulling it. You'll need nuts too. Right next to the stop is another part with the size/style nut you'll need. Use that part to order...

    Ford GT - Transaxle Repair?

Look at your old bellhousing. It better not have a dowel pin in it. I haven't done a clutch on one yet It sounds like PP finger to TO bearing noise but, There's usually a plate between engine and trans that aligns the starter on Fords. If the starter wasn't in the hole properly when tightened...

    Ford GT - Transaxle Repair?

A worn synchro won't cause it to pop out of gear. A worn synchro can cause it to grind and/or not go into gear. Shift linkage adjustment that's not putting it all the way into gear can let it pop out-does it have a short shifter? #1, check adjustment A worn fork that's not putting it all the way...

    bolt torques for belly pans

If he stuck to the maintenance schedule, he would have removed them 10+ more times than you have. Things are getting squished and stretched. The main black belly pan bolts, and the six others that take washers are available from Ford.

Ford GT 2006 Clutch Replacement Advice Needed

The E trim says for limited street driving, SS trim for a little extra over stock You can probably get a clutch set, pilot, flywheel and slave from Ford for less than that add. They say the OEM clutch does well to 700HP and even if it doesn't, it's a better sacrificial component than the trans
