It would be good to have a calendar so we can plan to get together with you, I was out in my GT yesterday afternoon but did not know about this gathering at Northwood.
Perhaps we can e-mail one-another to organise or let one another know about upcoming events as I have little time to look at the web most days. This was how we organised Ferrari drive outs in my area in London.
I drove my 575M for the first time last Sunday for an hour, I managed to get one day back in London last week-end, the first in 9 months, it had not moved out of the garage since last September.
Has anybody got any good ideas for a drive to San Francisco for a long week-end driving together for example? Does anybody else share my passion to organise such an event for say 6 or 10 cars? We could probably take in a few laps around a track in the tour or some other suggestions.
I must say as a smitten life-long fan of the original GULF Ford GT 40's racing back in 1966 at Le Mans, having owned many fine cars, I can say that I am very impressed with the Ford GT, it is an awesome motorcar and up there with the best, Lambo's Ferrari's etc in my humble opinion, some of which cost 2 or 3 times more.
Thank you Ford for your foresight and imagination, you have allowed a few to own a small piece of rare highly collectable history. Most racing cars in the past were developed from the Road to the track, how many can you name, if any, that went the other way around? (100 regsitered GT 40's produced for homoligation purposes excluded) - fantastic story of a true super car.
