long, but worth it, I wonder if I would be dumb enough to stand on the roadside???

That looked like a demolition derby of stolen cars being driven by unlicensed criminals being chased by police I wonder if anyone finished. After the first 50 or 60 crashes I DQ myself. It covers the spectrum from funny to scary.

I've never been able to understand the mentality (or lack thereof) of people who'll stand right where they can be hit at a race event. They're just ASKING for it. :frown

God must love idiots. He sure made a lot of 'em...

Piccola- I think you have found a new career! :wink

I think offering to let her drive your GT at Indy is safe. Hell will freeze over before Indy lets that happens...:lol :lol

How many laps is Piccola going to get on the track? :banana I've got 2 GTs that are just begging for a good workout from Piccola - a whippled white one (that claims to be the fastest around) & my favorite heritage (thank you Bony & Chris :biggrin ) & a new Ford GT outfit that was just MADE to wear on that track!!! :lol :cheers Indy, here we come!!!:party :club :party

understand you are letting her solo the Citation, she is taking the 40 hour guaranteed private ticket program she bought on ebay:rofl :lol :rofl

she can't possibly do as much damge in a GT on track

Sounds like all you folks are okay with piccola driving the various GTs on track. As long as there are no curbs to hit she cannot possibly do the damage that she has inflicted on her Z. And that thing with the spilled spaghetti was just a freak accident I was told.

1992 Indy Redux - Piccola??

Apparent industrial amnesia amoung the GT owners; seemingly forgotten about Indy 1992 - loss of car due to cold ambient temp and tires. I don't know anything about this so called spaghetti incident thing, but I think you'd better get some cold weather credentials from this southern girl before you turn her loose. :wink

Does growing up in WI count for cold weather credentials? :biggrin

I just went on line & read about that '92 race. Interesting... However, that was also the year a woman (Lyn St. James) took 11th (at the Indy 500) & got named Rookie of the Year. :wink Bony, I guess I'll need to borrow your car to get a little bit of cold weather practice in. What do you say? :lol

Ah yes, the spaghetti incident. I made the mistake of taking an Italian out to dinner. His only job on the way home was to hold on to the leftovers (spaghetti w/red sauce). I took a turn off the expressway "MJ style" & the spaghetti went flying...everywhere. :bored So I pull over at a gas station to try & clean up what I could, while the guy just stands there watching. Incredible! :mad Needless to say, after dropping him off, this boy got no goodnight kiss & no further "dates". :thumbsdow I didn't mind driving him or paying for his dinner, but to have to pay to get the interior washed, detailed, & shampooed w/o so much as an "I'm sorry" is a wee bit much. I believe my love of Italians died that night...

2 things to say 'bout that

1) I stand corrected, Wisconsin clearly qualifies as cold climate :cheers
2) I'm at a loss on the spaghetti date. You definately need to be more selective about your choice of companions - patethetic for an Italian :thumbsdow You'll like Indy, if you stay out of the 'snakepit', you'll find better material there - most can even drive!!

Well, in the skydiving world (which is where we met), not many of the foreigners who come here to train have vehicles or money. The killer body, great smile, & accent made up for the cost of dinner. The incident in the car shot down any thoughts of after dinner fun... :ack His loss. Now that I have switched from the skydiving crowd to the GT crowd, it's like I've stepped into a whole new world. Great guys who are loads of fun, beautiful cars, incredible drives, a never-ending smile on my face... :biggrin Heavenly!!! :thumbsup
