This is a project I have been working on for over a year with Tom Kirkham and Mike Maire
It's a 1963.5 Falcon Sprint
5.2 L GT350 motor / Tremec 6 speed
Cantilever suspension
Widened track 3"
fabricated flares and rear panel (retained 30 year old restoration paint)
etc...

WOW! That's sweet

How did you get the engine? Last I knew ford didn't sell the FPC as a crate because of the external balancing requirements. CPC I think can be had.

PS. Great photos.

Wow indeed!

All time sleeper car taken to a whole new level.

Lots of nice engineering and beautiful fabrication

Is there another chapter beyond this that we should prepare for?

You have too much time and/or money on your hands!

I bought a totaled GT350r with aprx 4k miles on it.. Used the motor, trans, and a few other bits. Tom engineered numerous mods to overcome the 'vibration' that is common with flatplane motors...Had to work with Haltech to create a whole new ECU management system... and a 1000+ other mods LOL :) .. this car is extremely fast and very capable on a track.

Definitely not your father's Falcon - and in a good way!

My GT350r motor failed at 1100 miles on track. Cause was undisclosed, but rumor is that it the oil pick tubes were the culprits in the gen 1 motor failures. Consider getting it checked out.

Article is great.

Makes you understand and appreciate the accomplishment that much more.

Outstanding!

here is a teaser clip of the car, the sound is amazing! .. a full video is coming soon

Damn Nice. Wish I had the skill to do something like this. Drive it in good health.

Thanks... Of all the custom 'Hot Rods' I have had, none even come close. A lot of engineering went into this one from the Cantilever Rear Suspension, Complete Front Suspension geometry ( around 4" widend track too) to the 5.2L Voodoo powerplant.. A few people have joked and said this is a 1963 version of the new GTD :p -Extremely quick on the track and in the canyons...
