Anal detailers —thoughts

Had the entire exterior covered with Suntek (none underneath) and mat finish film on the carbon sills, kick panels and passenger footrest for 8K. Then had ceramic coating done on the wheel wells, wheels, and brake calipers for 800. Very pleased with the results and ease of cleaning. Was advised not to add ceramic coating to film for a car that is not going to be exposed to outside elements continually.

Also failed to mention, the entire front end and the underside of the doors were done in a thicker layer film from standard, and after placement of Ford Performance decals, the underside of doors covered again with the thicker film.

What’s the reasoning? My car has both and has been predominantly out of the elements for the past 3 years. Ceramic coating makes cleaning the ppf a lot easier. It also looks as good as the day it was first coated.

Felt the ceramic would negate the self healing property of the film for little gain
