Troublesome Lincoln Question

Need some thoughts on how to best proceed.

My wife has a 2016 Lincoln MKX. She loves it, but it is soon out of warranty. The problem is that there have been persistent electrical gremlins. This list is long and random. Many many trips to the dealership. Most recently, they were going to have a Engineer come out, but apparently that program has been cancelled.

The dealership has discussed a buy back, or an extended warranty.

Patience is not my brides strong suit, so this is now quite an escalated issue within the household.

Any insight on how to best shake the tree to try to get some resolution?

Escalation. Talk to the dealer owner about it and ask that it be escalated to the district or region.

Were the previous issues isolated and addressed or were they shotgunning things and the same problems come back? If so you could be eligible for a lemon law handling.

Get rid of it...by whatever (legal) means work out.
Period.
Me thinks if you don't, once the warranty expires you'll wish you had.

If you are at times wishing that you never purchased:

Why not consider accepting the buy back with appropriate terms given the unanticipated hassles?

Or perhaps a trade with a discount on a suitable replacement / extended warranty? Then she can get into a different but similar vehicle and continue to enjoy the Lincoln product line.
