Koenigsegg has developed a camless engine. It uses pneumatic actuators to open and close valves. The benefits seem pretty impressive. Makes me wonder how an Ecoboost 3.5L would run with this technology?

Really impressive.

Regarding your question, I am certain we are not going to find out

Tech has been in F1 for a while. Neat to see it working it's way into road cars. Ultra high RPM 4 cycle engines.
With torque based race engines now, I would think the need for a ultra fast valve train has diminished.

Big advantage to be able to run on 8 or 4 or 2 cylinders and swap which ones are driving to even wear and engine heat. Could be pretty neat if we still need gasoline in the future.

I was wondering if this had been discussed before. Thanks for the link.
