Happy Veterans Day to all our vets out there. Here's a picture of my first assignment to pilot training. Left pilot training and headed immediately to Vietnam flying the AC-130 Spectre Gunship. That's me in the sunglasses with my gunship crew.

Thank you for your service!

Thank you as well; however, you do appear uglier in person. Ha ha.

Frank I think I've heard that before, but thanks for reminding me.

Thanks Simon. Seems like ages ago, maybe because it was. LOL

Surprised the other forum members didn't post any of their military pictures. Thought it would have been an interesting post. Maybe they're out partying on this holiday.

A huge thank you to all veterans. You are the most special fraternity. No USA without you!

So where did you get your 37 and 38 time?

We owe an enormous debt of gratitude to our military. My dad brought this back from the Pacific Theater along with many really bad memories:

Yes, many had it a lot worse than me. I was hoping the forum members would have posted more pictures, etc. of their relatives, friends and themselves or a story or two.

I wonder if we have mutual AC-130 friends? I was an instructor from 1988-1993 at Navy Pensacola, Advanced Navy Flight Officers (VT-86) and a number of our T-39 and T-47 pilots were reserve AC-130 guys.
This is me (at the 3 O'clock position)

It's possible if you knew the old heads. I flew AC-130Hs out of Hurlburt and took a desk job my last few years so I lost touch with the newbies in the flying squadrons. The reservists flew AC-130As out of Duke Field. Cool picture.

Gentlemen,

The coolest thing about Jason's Harrier is that his name is only painted on the left side of the canopy. Here's a photo of the right side of his canopy. Semper Fi and happy 241st birthday bro.
