Stop by the Naval Aviation Museum. There is a plaque behind the Cubi O'club Bar (inside the museum) with my name on it.

Besides the Naval Av Museum in Pensacola, there is a car museum on your I-10 route on the east side of Tallahassee (about 3 hrs from Pensacola). There are also things of interest in Gainesville on I-65 (about 6 hrs from Pensacola).

I mean hotels that are GT friendly for the run. I'm going to check with a client in Beaumont to see if there is a decent place there.

Chris, we arrive Daytona on the 28th so was planning on not leaving Houston til the 26/27th. How many miles per day are you guys planning? NOLA would be a great stopover, or Lake Charles if you don't want to drive too many miles a day. Beaumont for you and Fred is only five-ish hours

You could check out Wakulla Springs. Considering the lack of options in the area it's pretty nice with lots of history. I stayed at Wakulla Springs Lodge on a trip to see the annual Monarch butterfly migration a few months ago. It's right on the coast with lots of scenery and a beautiful state park nearby called Ochlockonee River State Park. There's also St. Mark's River State Park.

Outside of that, there's this billboard in Perry, FL facing South on US19. Welcome to Florida

Beau Rivage in Biloxi is kinda sorta half way between Houston and Daytona. If you like high class trashy, its great

Fred, it speaks volumes that you immediately knew what song to put up. Having just returned from four days in Vegas, I am officially upgrading the Beau Rivage to five-star elegance and class

 Product of a misspent youth and spending too much time in those Hill Country roadhouses.:cheers
