And so it begins

Very cool, Mike. Looking forward to seeing/hearing some footage. How exactly is that mounted?

Triangulated mount on the rear subframe of the GT40 using wing nuts and Nordlocks. The boom arm swivels and offers a wide range of adjustment. If someone wanted one for a GT I would need Tony or Jim or another front range GT owner to stop by LuftKraft and determine the correct base mount location and design.

Mike, nice meeting you and I look forward to seeing the car on my next trip!

Likewise Jason and next time try the Thai hot ha.

After watching Mike sweat to the point he needed to change shirts, I don't think I'll try it :)

'Smart man!

Love this thread. What a build!

Thanks, should be driving it next weekend.

Went down to Luft Kraft yesterday and finished up some last odds and ends. The guys did an outstanding job on the car and level of detail is amazing. We went back to the shop early this morning to grab the cars and head to Denver for Cars & Coffee. There were rather larger bear tracks walking across the parking lot from last night yikes and cool!

Thanks everyone. Pictures just don't capture the detail and complexity of the final product.

Wow, it looks fantastic! Sounds great too. Congrats on a beautiful car.

You could have had one of those he-man cars if you didn't get that cushy Aston. I think you are getting soft in your old age.

Came across this on the net this morning from C&C yesterday.

Paul, problem is I could get two cushy Volante's for what it would cost to reproduce Luke's car. I would really like to drive one and may do so some time. There is a dealer about three hours south of us near Naples. I've been in the dealership and it is really nice. As much as I would like to have a second GT, I would probably do the GT40 due to the prices on GT's these days. Plus the rawness of Luke's car really intrigues me.
