Today I took delivery of my first GT.
I am truly in love. I had trouble sleeping the past week as I waited for delivery.
I drove the car home and could not believe the attention it got....even without the stripe. And it was dark!
Have to get used to the sight lines. Drove beautifully. Loooove the sound. Amazingly quiet! Maybe tomorrow I will find 4 th gear!

This Forum has been a big help in educating me so thanks to you all.
I look forward to meeting fellow owners and contributing to the discussions.

For those who wonder, I bought the blue, no stripe GT. No options. Previous celeb owner...which makes for a cool story. I have named the car Mac and intend to get plates to match. Also happens to be my nickname.

I'll get a pic shortly but can't post from iPad.

Congrats on your new arrival. You need to post some pics and become a forum member. I get up to your area occasionally to see my mother in Victoria. Have a brother in Coquitlam. Take care in your wet weather, the car can get away from you quickly. Is the car a Canadian "native" or was it imported?

It is nice to see another GT in the Vancouver area , there are a few of us but they are few and far between , when you drive your GT in the lower mainland you can expect traffic to pretty much stop as they are so rare , much more than the commonly seen F cars and Lambos

I look forward to meeting you , maybe come out whiterock way sometime soon if the weather ever gets better

Thanks everyone. I have created an album in my profile with a few pics.
Mac Davis previous owner wrote a bunch of Elvis songs and had many hits of his own (Country).
I love his license plate was THXLVIS - pic is in the album shot in Beverly Hills.
The car was ordered by Mac's friend Carroll Shelby since they were friends. The signature on the dash is in great shape.
The blue no stripe is only one of 8 made according to data posted on this forum.
I am grateful to Mac for passing on the car and will take great care with it.

Day 2 with it and already washed it.
For those of you in Vancouver, I live on the West side.

I must agree with the the color; Stunning!! I was so so on blue with white stripes but your car is incredible! Post more pictures! I agree with the above . Makes me nervous where it is parked. How did you get in and out !!
 
Nervous? How about getting door open enough to get out?
