So what would be the most scenic PCH drives?

-Crystal cove /
Laguna
-Dana Point
-Santa Monica / Malibu

??

Seems like some stretches (Huntington Bch, Long Beach) are more congested...do u SoCal guys hop on 405 and off to see best views / drives or surface roads

Santa Cruz to San Francisco. Lots of twisty turns, lighthouses, and the surfing museum.

no doubt PCH up through Big Sur is the most amazing drive in California.....even pops up often as No.1 on best drives in the whole country.....all the way to Carmel and the 17 Mile Drive......

for a quickie, PCH from Santa Monica north all the way to Goleta is pretty cool for a day drive, or in Malibu there are many many canyon roads that are awesome......as was recently discussed some of these are so cool and so often used that there are permanent photographers to shoot and sell pics of all the cool cars (on the weekend)......as was the case with Kevin recently.....

Don't restrict yourself to the PCH. One of the finest driving roads in CA...no, in the US...no, in the world... is CA 33. Pick it up off the PCH at Ventura. Google it. Car and Driver drives it in the 11/12 issue.
