Time to part with my 2008 Supercharged Shelby GT convertible. Has 26,350 miles. Car is now at Exotic Classics in Syosset, NY located on Long Island.

For sale is a beautiful 2008 Shelby GT Convertible. The car was shipped from Ford to Shelby American for completion of the Shelby package in 2008. Tasca Ford then added a Whipple 550 Supercharger in 2009. Other than Shelby American. Tasca Ford is the only other modification shop for installation and upgrades for compliance with the Shelby Registry. In 2008, there were only 1834 Shelby GT’s made and of that only 760 convertibles exist. It is estimated that only 20-30 convertibles have had the Supercharger added by either Tasca or Shelby American. The car was dyno tested at 480 hp at the rear wheels after its upgrade. In addition the base vehicle, this car had several factory options including: Shaker 1000 Sound System, 6 Disc CD changer, Heated seats, ambient lighting, GT uplifter package, HID headlamps, active anti-theft, and interior upgrade package.

The Shelby package includes appearance, handling, and power upgrades. Details include:

Handling/Suspension
Front and rear dampers
Lowering springs
Front and rear Sway Bars

Ford Racing Power Upgrade
90mm Cold air kit
Performance Mufflers/Performance X-pipe
Pro-cal performance calibration
Hurst short throw shifter
3:55 gears

Style and Appearance
Front and rear fascia, side scoop
18” Alloy wheels
Hood scoop, Billet hood pins, Billet grill assembly
Shelby Badging on trunk, dash plaque, running board, trim

Vinyl hood stripes were removed as many owners have had problems with stains and instead the stripes are now painted on ($1700) and clear coated. A set of brand new Continental Sport contact tires have less than 300 miles on them. Special Shelby American supercharger badge/plaque has not been mounted but is included with the car.

Gentlemen,

These are great little cars and blisteringly fast. My 2007 Shelby GT/SC is much quicker than my 2009 GT500 and it handles better too.

I had two of the '08 Barrett Jackson convertibles. Remember my obsession with black with red stripes :) They were twins, one 5-speed, one auto, consecutive VINs. With the supercharger (Kenne Bell was the only S/C available then) they were little rocket sleds and handled like a dream. If the Cobra had sold first I would have kept the auto.

Beautiful car Stu, good luck with the sale, but now the question that begs to be answered..........what's replacing it?

Roger,

Believe it or not...no replacement. Just retrenching and hunkering down for the health system overhaul.

Sorry to see her go, too bad I only have room for 2 toys, I wouldn't mind having this ragtop in the "fleet", but alas, not going to happen!!!!

Great place with fantastic inventory, much of it on consignment. Their asking prices are generally high, but most of the merchandise is definitely "top shelf"!!!
