Nope, but I'd like to see it someday if it winds up in a museum. I'm not superstitious, but it could be bad juju to own this car - kind of like the James Dean Spyder.

Here's a picture of my 1955 Austin Healey, circa 1962 (outside Cortner Hall at the University of Redlands):

(I'd give my left nut to get it back)

Very cool, Ralphie, you were obviously a BMOC with that car! I always wanted a big Healey, especially in high school and college, but it just never happened. Maybe someday. The styling of other cars in the photo illustrate why the Austin Healey was such a stunner. :thumbsup

The Macklin car sold for 843,000 GBP, $1,322,000.

She's a beauty - but if I ever got one, it would be a BN2LM. Always wanted the 4 speed with the 4 banger - I had a later 1963 3000 Mark II (rollup windows) and after a couple of months, longed for my 100 BN1, even with the 3 speed.

Boy do those pictures bring back memories!

:cheers
