Well, car is back from inspection from Rich. First let me say it's great to have someone as knowledgeable and kind as Rich to help me with the inspection. The car was in great shape, with the exception of a leaking ac compressor. He said not to worry, as it may have leaked from sitting too long but after re-tightening the fittings it may be fine, but worst case is replacement. Have any of y'all had a similar situation, or know the cost of an ac compressor. If it's alot, I may ask for some concessions. Rich thought they were pretty affordable but didn't know the price for sure.

Thanks, look forward to getting her in the stable.

There is long thread here on AC parts and prices. Try a search.

I have tried searching, unfortunately "AC" is too small of a word to search for, and compressor doesnt bring up much. I did find that the AC is made by vintage air, but the compressor is ford. It also seems others have had failed O-rings on the compressor, which sounds like what may have happened to my car.

However, I cannot find anything on prices of the compressor. Or if there is anything else to worry about. Google does not bring anything up either for PN's.

EDIT: Just found it through google searching condensor, $450 sound about right?
