Let's Get Back On The Race Track!

Speed Ventures has rented the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana on January 16 and 17. They are running the full "Roval" which is the infield road race track combined with the Super speedway track (the front straight and all the way through turns 1 and 2). This track set up is a total blast with the GT as we witnessed a similar opportunity at the Texas World Speedway.

Speed Ventures run a tight and safe program, I've run with them in Fontana and at Willow Springs many times.

The price is only $180/day or $350 for both days. They also offer a timing transponder for $20 that tracks and posts your lap times. Garage spots similar to TWS are available for $20.

I wish I was out there to join in the fun. It sounds similar to how Pocono is set up when they have track days threre, and maybe I can get a chance to go north a bit this year. My car must sit "track idle" for at least 2 more months of chilly weather. Post some photos and vids if you take them.

Check into ceramic paint. I have a clearbra now and am satisfied, but from what I have been told the ceramic can take more abuse. My dealer says it is standard on Mercedes Benz.
