I cant get through to someone in LA.

it was 5.8 and centered in Chino Hills. My 75 yr. old dad is 5 miles away and he had broken glass. We are 10 miles away and the kids freaked. Disneyland is evacuating. Lasted 30 seconds and it was a drop and a roll. More later.

Quit the drama Sam. :ack I hope you are NOT running around screaming like a girl - "WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN" :lol

The truth is I was trying on Bernie's speedos when it happened.:biggrin:biggrin:biggrin

Everyone is okay. Dad is shook up a bit with a bit of clean up. I think the earth gods are upset that this miserable state is going to pick Obama for prez.

FOX's chopper was up looking for large crowds in the streets, damage, etc. 'Only found a water main that'd burst at Central and something-or-other.

I hope everyone is OK.

3.8 is hardly worth mentioning. The page I got (norcal alert system) said 5.6 -- enough to cause damage.

Nice quake but not alarming. Definitely a solid feel here in Irvine, but no worries.

Friends from back east are calling wondering who gets the GT.....:lol

Tell 'em it's down in an open fissure and ask 'em to come give ya a hand pullin' it back out! :biggrin

We are just trying to raise our property values again by changing Zip Codes

Chino Hills state reserve is my backyard. House was a mess (pic frames down, items off shelves), but no damage. Gave the wife a chance to clean out the cupboards.

Most frustrating thing was the phone networks were tied up for over a half an hour. Just think if it was a significant earthquake. Better have a CB, FRS, or HAM.

Think of the mess if there had been an EMP device set off instead(Electromagnetic Pulse). C.B.'s, Ham sets, FRS, cell phones, cars - nuthun would work. That's what's suspicioned Iran is planning for us.

Much to do about nothing...certainly one way to spot a true CA native :lol
