If I recall it was a 32Ford with LS6 and Vette running gear..

I don't know that I'd have opted for the Bowtie emblem between the tail lights, but, otherwise me likey whole concept mucho. THAT'S a nice car...

Top gear is a great show. It’s entertaining funny and relaxing to watch. I really do love it and I love Clarkson’s attitude. He is out to entertain and enjoy cars. Come on he has a poke at lots of things and people but it’s when you start to take it too seriously that you really do lose the point. If I may say so top Gear is a little like this thread, pointless really but entertaining none the less. It's a bit of fun. People on forums SOMETIMES tend to make a habit of taking things too seriously. D11VEJ is upset that Ford sell him 3 Ford GT's at list price so he could make a movie. Awwww diddums! I guess they didn't realize just HOW important a person you are!!! :lol


And I do feel some on here would have maybe missed the last post by D11VEJ that says he managed to back his two day old BMW X5 4.8 sport into his garage straight over the front of his beautiful Red Ford GT! How about some pictures D11VEJ so we can really have a laugh!! And an explanation of how the hell you didn't see the GT when that big screen on the dash would have clearly showed you it sat there all on its own and the parking sensors would have being going off like big Ben at midnight????? :lol

I'm always nice mate. Just having a laugh with the old man. He loves it really. Don't worry I'm sure he will reply later calling me a plonker or something....

PS I use the guys at Finish line Ford to change the oil and do warranty work on the GT. Mine's in there right now, I'm just waiting for a nice day to pick her up. Tom the service manager looks after the car keeps the GT next to his office at all times (it's inside of course). He only puts his best man on the Job to work on the car and he really has been very good with the work he has done so far.

Get your car out, we need to hook up this weekend. There are a couple F430's in town now and a souped up 612 Scaglietti that need to taste some American dust.:wink

Would love to mate but I'm heading back to London wednesday...Picking my GT2 up..I can't wait!! Might ship it over for the summer......
 
Bony, I had not seen that cut away section of the GT before. What's the story with that? Is it a model that still exists somewhere?
 
Neilda, Ford keeps it with the rest of their showpieces. I've seen it at the Chicago AutoShow 3 years ago. Car is cut right down the middle and you walk through it lengthwise. Haven't seen it since, but I'm happy it still exists.
