No regrets - the sequel

Larry,

Please stick around. As many have said the car is just a car. It is the different personalities that make this forum such a great place to spend endless minutes reading and typing away. Certainly no explanation for selling your car is needed. I look forward to reading another 3000 plus post from the not so Empty Pockets!

Manny

Larry,
I just caught up to this thread! Just as Manny (and all the others) have expressed - We EXPECT you to be here - you are part of the family and family sticks together! We look forward to your continued friendship here on the FGT Forum! :cheers

Gentlemen:

I'm at a complete and total loss for words here, guys. Thank you all. 'Really appreciate it. Actually, I'm truely stunned truth be told.

I'd be very honored to "stick around" if none of you object. Being a part of this group has been a GREAT experience from "day one". I'd be lying if I said I didn't wish to continue it. One doesn't run into as good a group as this very often, that's for darn sure.

'Guess if our "big guy" says, "Stick around madman"(:skep), that pretty much seals it? :shrug

Thanks, Dave. And thanks again to you all.

Very Humbled Pockets

YOU BETTER STICK AROUND! It would not even be the same without you here on this great forum. :wink

DBK / Bony - looks like we need a nother catagory for the Forum - ALUMNI!

You know Mr. Moose and I sold our GT in October. Like you, I agree that the reasons don't matter (and we'd each give you a different one anyway). When we did that, John wanted to change our sign-on to Spectator. I couldn't do it. The GT is a unique car with the history, the power, the solid build, the sleek sexy look, etc. But Chip said it so very well - it is the group of people that make up this forum that 'bring home' that GT experience.

EP - your colorful, witty comments are still welcome. You are truly one of the reasons I read and enjoy participating on this forum. You have a spot in all of our hearts (and funny bones). Keep in touch - KEEP POSTING!
Mrs. Moose

Needs and desires change and evolve with time. Not so important why you decided to sell as it is that you know that you would be sorely missed if you don't keep us all laughing with your wit and humor. I only know you through the forum, but I hope you keep contributing. Besides, we all want to know if you get another toy, you have to spill the beans here.

Rick

:frown:frown:frown who am I gonna PM in the early AM when everyone else is asleep? Keep close and all the best!

I know in Washington it's cold, way too cold and icey for the Gt's Goodyear tires. The sky is overcast, it makes no sense to have a car that costs so much just sitting, wondering when it will be driven again....

But Spring comes. The roads dry out, the concrete gets warm.

On a clear Summer night , the idea of having such a ridiculous car becomes apparent as you accelerate past 100....

Your old sage advice will be missed, please stay on the forum.

Joe

Hay Lorry, I'm goig two reely mis yor spelinge.

I'm sure it was a tough decision - but don't just stroll off into the sunset mate, hang around and keep in touch with us all.

Tell me though, what was your first drive like (getting it onto the transporter)? :cheers

Bony has a couple of those, I think!

Post some pics?

Larry,
No Jeeps, I have a V8 Gremlin and looking for V8 Pacer. Love cars from Kenosha.

Man! That thing is cherry! I'd keep it too!!! :thumbsup In it's own way - that thing is kool.

I always wanted to put a SBC 383 stroker & appropirate drivetrain into one of those. 'Thought it'd be about the ULTIMATE "sleeper"...behind a '54-5-6 Nash Rambler American 2dr hdtp or wagon that is.

Bony: my bad. I thought you already HAD a Pacer or two and were looking for a V-8 version.

bony this one is the 258 6cyl(but thats okay i don't think i would want to go over 30mph in this thing)--lol
larry, its growing on me and yes its "kool".(my wife has fallen in love with it--she thinks its cute !!!!) i think i would be embarrassed to put it into any photos with the rest of my collection--lol

have a good night all

sam

Pockets, you shocked me with your Nash Rambler comment. Have you been peeking in my garage? 1953 Nash Rambler Greenbrier 2 dr wagon, dark green over mint green. The perfect stablemate to the GT.

Howard

So Larry, I just have to ask. How many miles on the GT when you let it go?
