How many members will pay 400K and are interested in buying new GT..

Jumping in late.... I work for a Ford dealer that got six 2005-2006s (I bought one). Getting two Mustang GT350s and one R. I reckon we'll get at least one new GT, hoping more.

Question.... Has anyone really ever made money on a car like an investment

Bought mine for invoice less holdback (dealer employee), drove it for a year, 2,000 miles. Sold it for a $14,000 profit. Wish I had never sold it.

    Looking for 2006 VIN ...1827

Has anyone seen or heard of the 2006 Tungsten, one-option (painted brake calipers), no stripe car, VIN ending in 1827? I'd like to buy it back. Ken Silverman

2 GT500 KRs at Covert Ford Austin

The only one making money on KRs is Shelby. I was out to the NASCAR race in Vegas, and Shelby will put his name on anything for $$$.

    Ohio State Trooper

Everybody.... Thanks for the ideas. The tix was only $155, and I'm not going back to OH, so screw it. My decision is also fueled by the fact that I drive on a dealer tag that is not related to my (lousy) driving record. Besides, the cop was nice about it, and I didn't want to ruin his...

    Ohio State Trooper

On the way home from Indy (Thanks AGAIN, GT Joey, IndyGT, Bony, et al.!), I met an Ohio State Trooper who seemed to feel like I was going 84 in the 65 zone. (We really DO need cruise control.) My lawyer/buddy/shotgun-rider suggested that I just smile, say yes-sir, sign, and drive. Smoky asked...

    Ford GT's at Indy 07 - Registration Closed/Official List

I imagine me and my buddy will be hungry Friday and Saturday nights, too. Can y'all locals help us? The whole town gets pretty full, doesn't it? I guess you can tell that I haven't been to Indy before....

Why did Ford stop building Ford GTs?

Black Ice- There is no question that Ford marketed the car to its dealers as a reward. The initial allocations went to "President's Award" winners (about 500/year), then by "share-of-nation" (that is, the largest volume dealers in the US. Several were also allocated to smaller dealers by...

Why did Ford stop building Ford GTs?

Whether or not Ford made money on the entire FordGT project as a whole, considering the control arm problem; it is reasonable to assume that all of the R&D had been written off through the 4,200 +/- vehicle production run. So building one more, or two more (and so on) would have to be very...

Why did Ford stop building Ford GTs?

Dave- That makes more sense than anything else I've heard. Thanks for the info, Ken Silverman

Why did Ford stop building Ford GTs?

I never thought about it until a prospective buyer asked me why Ford stopped building Ford GTs. While we owners certainly appreciate the exclusivity of owning a limited production vehicle, I assume that Ford Motor Company made a reasonable profit per vehicle, so building more would put needed...

Two things I would like to change on my GT

Back to Fyr-Ftr's original question: How did you get to the gas station without your keys? If you drove it, you've got your keys; if you towed it, you don't need gas. ??????????????????????????

    Shelby GT

Here on the East (right) Coast, we are offering the Shelby at $10k over MSRP. That makes it about $50,000. The GT500s that we sold were rolling out of here at about $20k over. Close to $70,000.

    E-85

I've been using whatever 93 octane comes out of the pumps in Virginia. The labels say it "contains ethanol." I hate the idea.... If I were going to let the GT sit, I would probably get some drum unleaded race fuel without any ethanol.
