If I'm not mistaken, each unit is specific to the VIN of one car. Your program cannot be downloaded into someone elses car. If you could do this, SCT and tuners would lose money. (This is assuming you have not yet used the unit)

You are 100% correct. If the unit is used on car RED for "Tune 91 Octane", the SCT unit will now have the Original Tune from RED in it's memory, along with any other Tunes, for example, 93 Octane and 100 Octane. At this point, the SCT Unit is in sync only with car RED. Should the original tune be put back into the car, and the three tunes into the SCT Unit, it should be okay for any car. In this case, I sent the SCT out to have it wiped clean and reprogrammed: it has not been used since Torrie did his magic.:thumbsup
