Just returned from the Sandhills Open Road Race. A couple of notable runs during the Standing Mile Shootout. There was a newer ZR1 in attendance, ran 187 and change in the mile. No GT's there this year, but all are welcome!
Also, Ron Adee, in his TT V8 powered 'Viper', which ran 192 in the HALF-mile. Anyone know what that might traslate to in the full mile? I was thinking north of 230. Pretty solid run. Then he followed it up the next day with a win in the Unlimited category during the road race, setting a new record of a 151+mph average for both directions. If you have ever seen the SORC course, you realize that a 151 average is moving!
