Mojave Mile Run: March 6 Anyone going?

Is anyone planning on participating in the Mojave Mile Run this weekend? For details go to: http://www.mojavemile.com/html/videos.html I would love to take a crack at 200mph but I am concerned that my 5 year old tires may be unsafe due to the "Born On" date being over three years old. Any tire experts out there that can give me some advice? My GT has 7,500 miles on it with the original F-1 Supercar Tires on it. Thanks, Tim Howard (GT374)

Hi Tim,
My Wife and I are going! :thumbsup
My understanding is the Mojave mile people recommend tires no older than four years, and will not allow tires older than 6. Someone else had posted that most of the GTs original tires should fall into the acceptable range but checking the date code on the tire and confirming with the Mojave mile people is the only way to be sure and I think they require seeing it for tech inspection. I had a full check up on my car with Kendall at Cool Tech just to make sure all was in order. Check the Mojave mile thread and it has links to the rules and also Mike Border for answers to most of the questions people have had.
Look forward to seeing you there.:cheers

I was pretty sure my tires were too old, so I will wait until I get a new set and hope they continue having the Run. I guess I will opt for the DynoDay instead. Thanks for the info.
