Mark lV Red clearcoat ?

Had a dealer look up my paint code to order some touch up paint, and the parts guy said the color keeps coming up as Colorado red. I've never heard of this one before. Didn't order it yet. Anyone else know if this is correct paint for the red cars? Parts guy was aware it is for a Ford GT, not Mustang.

The dealer paint code for your Mark IV Red is D3. The paint code for your white stripes is WT. Mark IV Red may be Colorado Red on another Ford model.

I don't have white top stripes, and the paint code for the red is D3. I just wondered if anyone else had the dealer tell them the color is "Colorado Red".
I guess if it doesn't match I can return it to the dealer.

Colorado Red is correct. The Red has various names depending on the Ford model it is put on. I believe the Mustangs use a different name. I'll add a pdf file with all the paints when I get home tonight.

Mark IV Red

Look in the current Motorcraft Chemicals and Lubricants Catalog for the years 2006 (page 70) and 2005 (page 74). You'll see that the Vehicle Certification Label Code, D3, uses the Consumer Service Division Color name "Colorado Red" (a Clearcoat) with Vehicle Division Color Promotional Names of "Mark IV Red" and "Torch Red." The Part Number for this exterior paint is PM-19500-7042A, and was used on the Ford GT, Mustang and Thunderbird.

The primer (ALBZ-19500-1000 and ALAZ-19500-1000) and the clear topcoat (ALBZ-19500-6000 and ALAZ-19500-6000) are also listed.

"Midnight Blue" on the Ford GT is the Ford Divisional Color Name "Medium Royal Blue" and has the Code Name "LA" - it's part number is PMP-19500-6504A.
