nice.....

In the summer between High school and college working, I got a job working on an oil rig in Swan Hills, Alberta. On the graveyard shift late one night, I almost bumped into a Grizzly when going to get a sack of Barite for the mud tank. I ran! Did not have anyone with me to outrun!! Climbed the derrick, and I don't like heights, but like Grizzlies even less. Tool pusher had to shoot the bear next afternoon as it got too "friendly" wandering all over the drill site, around the rig subs, into the tool house, etc. It had claws about 3" long! Tool pusher had it stuffed!

At least they never make it into town. Well, hardy ever and it was really only a small one...

I preffered off shore work - bettwer money on top of it....:wink

Took a bunch of grizzly bear pics in Alaska a few years back but the eyes on this one really stood out. The Mrs took this black bears pic last year in the backyard, she hangs out in the neighborhood for a few months each year but doesn't cause any trouble.
